We grow eighty-seven trees and shrubs with fruit, nuts or berries to eat. Of these, thirty-four are shrubs, among them American hazelnut, black elderberry and rabbiteye blueberry. All but one are native: the Chinese chestnut is grown for its nuts. Most are also in the Nut & Fruit Trees group. Some need a second tree, or a male among the females, before they bear, and the pollination planner says which.
