Trees & Shrubs for Wildlife
Trees and shrubs that feed or shelter birds and other wildlife, grown from seed.
We grow 306 trees and shrubs that feed or shelter wildlife. Of these, 138 are shrubs, among them spicebush, winterberry and black elderberry. The trees run from downy serviceberry and flowering dogwood to black gum and swamp chestnut oak. All but one are native: the Chinese chestnut is grown for its nuts. What a planting gives deer, squirrels and bears is in native trees and shrubs for wildlife, and what it gives birds is in native trees and shrubs for birds.
